Safeguarding Statement 

Village United CIC is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. We believe that every child has the right to participate in sport in a safe, supportive, and positive environment.

Village United CIC works to ensure that:

  • Children and young people are protected from harm, abuse, and neglect

  • All activities are delivered in safe environments

  • Safeguarding concerns are taken seriously and acted upon promptly

  • Children are treated with dignity, respect, and equality

  • The welfare of the child is always paramount

How We Safeguard Children

​

Village United CIC:

  • Has a robust Safeguarding Policy in place

  • Appoints a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

  • Has access to independent safeguarding oversight

  • Works only with partner clubs that have safeguarding policies and DBS-checked coaches

  • Follows FA and National Governing Body safeguarding guidance where applicable

  • Ensures safeguarding training and regular policy reviews

Working With Partners

 

We work in partnership with:

  • Grassroots sports clubs

  • Schools and education settings

  • Community and family support services

 

All partner organisations are expected to meet safeguarding standards and cooperate with Village United CIC’s safeguarding procedures.

Reporting a Safeguarding Concern

 

If you are worried about the safety or wellbeing of a child connected to Village United CIC, please report your concern immediately.

All concerns will be treated seriously, confidentially, and in line with safeguarding legislation and guidance.

Information relating to safeguarding concerns will be shared only on a need-to-know basis and in accordance with data protection and safeguarding law.
