About Village United CIC
Village United CIC is a Community Interest Company established to support children and young people to access grassroots sport where financial barriers may otherwise prevent participation.
All funds raised are used to further our community purpose. Village United CIC operates on a not-for-profit basis and reinvests all surplus into supporting children and families.

Purpose of Fundraising
Fundraising activities are undertaken to support:
• Children’s access to grassroots sport
• Participation fees and membership costs
• Programme delivery and safeguarding
• Community outreach and administration directly linked to delivery
Village United CIC aims to ensure all fundraising is conducted ethically, transparently and responsibly.

Fundraising Methods
Fundraising may include, but is not limited to:
• Online fundraising pages
• Community events
• Sponsored challenges
• Individual or group fundraising initiatives
• Corporate or organisational fundraising
All fundraising must align with the values and objectives of Village United CIC.

Fundraising on Behalf of Village United CIC
Individuals, groups or organisations wishing to fundraise on behalf of Village United CIC must:
• Obtain prior approval from Village United CIC
• Use accurate and approved information about the organisation
• Not imply endorsement of external products or services without permission
• Comply with all relevant laws and regulations
Village United CIC reserves the right to withdraw permission for fundraising activities at any time.

Use of Funds Raised
Funds raised will be used where they are most needed to support Village United CIC’s charitable objectives, unless a specific restricted purpose has been agreed in writing in advance.
Where restricted funds cannot be used as intended, Village United CIC will seek donor agreement where possible.

Financial Transparency
Village United CIC is committed to transparency and accountability.
Records of income and expenditure are maintained in accordance with legal and financial requirements, and funds are overseen through appropriate governance arrangements.

Safeguarding
All fundraising activity involving children or young people must adhere to Village United CIC’s safeguarding policies and procedures.
Children must not be placed under pressure to fundraise or participate in fundraising activities.

Conduct and Behaviour
All fundraisers representing Village United CIC must:
• Act respectfully and responsibly
• Avoid causing distress, nuisance or offence
• Not engage in misleading or aggressive fundraising practices
• Respect the privacy and dignity of all individuals
Village United CIC does not permit doorstep fundraising or high-pressure solicitation.

Insurance and Liability
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
• Fundraisers are responsible for their own insurance
• Village United CIC cannot accept liability for loss, damage or injury arising from fundraising activities organised by third parties
Written confirmation may be required for larger events.

Data Protection
Any personal information collected during fundraising must be handled in line with UK data protection legislation.
Fundraisers must not retain or share personal data without consent.

Refunds
Funds raised through fundraising activities are generally non-refundable once transferred to Village United CIC, except in exceptional circumstances such as error or duplication.

Complaints
Any concerns or complaints relating to fundraising should be raised directly with Village United CIC.
We aim to handle all complaints fairly, promptly and transparently.

Changes to These Terms
Village United CIC reserves the right to amend these Fundraising Terms & Conditions at any time.
